Our Year 5 & 6 School Football Team proudly represented St Christopher's School at the University of Kent on Monday 12th March 2018. All pupils worked with a combined determination as they took on schools from across the Canterbury area.
This tournament was part of the Premier League Primary Stars programme that aims to use the appeal of the Premier League and professional football clubs to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills. The event also provided an opportunity to showcase the additional online teaching resources available to schools and offered local PE training to teachers.
Having registered to be a part of the Premier League Primary Stars programme, available to primary schools across England and Wales, St Christopher’s School was one of the selected schools exclusively invited to compete. Pupils had a great time and were thrilled to get their photo with the Premier League Trophy (above).
"Pupils did exceptionally well in the tournament against teams of a very high standard. A big thank you to the Prmier League Stars Programme for organising the event and for supplying our team with a brand new football kit"
S. Perry, Sport Co-Ordinator
